Union notes from Union / Management Meeting

Present – Michael Abraham, Dennis Cecere, Peter Cokkinias, Beth Denisch, Marti Epstein, Rich Grudzinski, Danny Harrington, Teodros Kiros, Jeff Perry, Wendy Rolfe, David Scott, Jackson Schultz, Jeri Sykes, and Will Silvio. 

Management – Bill Whitney, Kari Juusela, Jeanine Cowan, Camille Colatosti, Nikki Kirk, Ashley Macchia.

1. Jackson opened the meeting. Jay and Larry are off campus today.
    
2. 150 Mass Ave. Project Update – Bill Whitney presented the improvements  from phase 1 and discussed phase 2 – creating lobby on first floor of 150, new EPD labs, large rehearsal space, student activities hang areas. Lots of changes starting Monday after graduation. Songwriting is moving to 135 Mass. Ave., the PWC is moving around as the lobby is adjusted. Many changes that will take 8-12 months. Once that is completed phase 3 will start on 142 entrance. Student/faculty meeting spaces will be looked at for the PWC.
   
   22 million-cost for entire project, 16 million-construction cost, paid by the capital budget over the next three years.
    
3. Update on Accessibility and Teaching Blind and Visually Impaired Students – Ashley Macchia. Presentation/Open house Friday, April 9, 2015 with Bob Mulvey, Chi Kim, Gabe Roses, Josh McCreary, and Marcus Hoyt. Currently in the process of filing grants for paying PT and FT for additional time provided by faculty. Resources and workbooks are in the process of being put into Sibelius and brail.
    
4. Electronic Attendance – Jeanine. Huge success this semester, the early alert system will be assisted by this process.
