- Larry opened the meeting. This is our first meeting of the spring with a rough ending to the fall. We are committed to make this community safe and secure for everyone. Roger and I have been attending department meetings throughout the college. We are looking at a series of activities that will help engage this work. We are proposing that we take a day – perhaps April 18 – to come together to discuss this as a community – no classes, attempting to get as many people together as possible. The goal is to get a common framework and a common understanding throughout the college. We will look at this and discuss options of getting people together (faculty, staff, students, for both Berklee and Conservatory). Part-time faculty will be compensated.
- The on-line Master’s Program was discussed at length with Debbie Cavalier and Carin Nuernberg. 20% discount for faculty and staff. Two majors – Music Production and Music Business, starting fall of 2018.
- We discussed the spring enrollment. This looks a little down now but the summer and fall look really good at this time. Overall, many classes were allowed to run with lower populations when they would normally have been cancelled in past semesters. We discussed the three-year contract at length.
- Larry will talk to Roger about the UEC meeting with the Board of Trustees or their Executive Committee.
